On Saturday, the Vegas Golden Knights (16-6-10) play the first of a back-to-back in Alberta. In their last eight games, they’ve collected 14 out of a possible 16 points. They’ll face the Calgary Flames (14-17-4) at Scotiabank Saddledome.

The Golden Knights last played at home on Wednesday against the New Jersey Devils. They struggled to generate offense without Jack Eichel and Shea Theodore, but tied it late to force overtime. They fell to the Devils in a shootout by a score of 2-1.

The Flames last played on Thursday against the Seattle Kraken. Rasmus Andersson recorded three assists to propel his team to a 4-2 win. 

Per head coach Bruce Cassidy, Akira Schmid will start tonight in Calgary. Schmid has a record of 2-0-0 and an average save percentage of .952 in two career games against the Flames.

Devin Cooley starts in net tonight for the Flames. Cooley has a record of 0-0-0 and an average save percentage of .889 in one career game against the VGK.
