The Vegas Golden Knights will look to snap a season-long four-game losing streak tonight against the St. Louis Blues. Elliotte Friedman mentioned the Golden Knights in his written 32 Thoughts blog, but not for the right reasons. Elsewhere in the Daily Nuggets, specific teams have been given permission to talk to JT Miller, and the New Jersey Devils lost goaltender Jacob Markstrom to a lower-body injury.

Golden Knights head coach Bruce Cassidy called William Karlsson’s absence from Tuesday’s practice a maintenance day. However, Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman reports that a lingering injury could cause Karlsson to miss the 4 Nations Face-Off in February.

The Golden Knights partnered with Zappos.com for a shoe drive, and it’s underway. You can donate new or gently used shoes at the team’s practice facility until Wednesday, January 29th.
