The St. Louis Blues are selling and Jordan Binnington could be among the players on the move. Binnington, who led Team Canada to a silver medal in the 2026 Winter Olympics, is being dangled by St. Louis, as reported by ESPN’s Emily Kaplan. It has been a disastrous season for the 32-year-old goalie.
Below, we dive into the five best landing spots for Binnington if the Blues trade him for a massive haul!
Edmonton Oilers

The Edmonton Oilers are in need of a goalie to protect the net moving forward. Tristan Jarry and Connor Ingram have been unable to keep the puck out of the net, with four-plus goals in six of the last seven games. Jordan Binnington has struggled with a .867 save percentage this season, but an improved situation would help him.
Montreal Canadiens

The Montreal Canadiens could use an upgrade at goalie heading into the Stanley Cup playoffs. Jakub Dobes has a .889 save percentage, and while it is better than Binnington, a new situation would help raise his level. After all, the St. Louis goaltender proved he can rise to the occasion in the Winter Olympics.
Carolina Hurricanes

The Carolina Hurricanes have Brandon Bussi as their primary goaltender, but Binnington would create a fearsome duo. Ever since Pyotr Kochetkov was declared out for the season, Bussi has been rock solid, but Carolina’s depth has been tested. Binnington would enter a much better situation than St. Louis with the best team in the Eastern Conference.
Vegas Golden Knights

The Vegas Golden Knights either need internal improvement or an external addition for its goalie situation. Adin Hill and Carter Hart have struggled, and while Binnington has been unreliable, he steps up when it matters the most. It would be risky, as for most teams, but possibly worth it if Binnington returns to his previous form.
San Jose Sharks

The San Jose Sharks could use an upgrade at goalie to take them deep into the Stanley Cup playoffs. Binnington would be the premier goalie in San Jose, overtaking Yaroslav Askarov and Alex Nedeljkovic. The Blues goaltender needs a kickstart to boost his season, and a new organization could be what is needed.
