Patrick Marleau, an Islander?:
Patrick Marleau will undoubtedly be named to the Hockey Hall of Fame after a 21-year career in the NHL that began when he was selected second overall by the San Jose Sharks in the 1997 draft. But did you know he was nearly a member of the New York Islanders?
According to former Islanders assistant general manager Mike Santos, the Isles were highly interested in making a trade for Marleau.
