If you have not been following what has occurred over the last couple of days regarding Evgenii Dadonov, here’s a brief summary. A trade between the Vegas Golden Knights and the Anaheim Ducks trickled in after the NHL Trade Deadline. But it turns out that Anaheim was one of the teams on was on Dadonov’s 10-team no-trade list.
But, apparently, no one could find his list, and the NHL had to investigate the matter. It turns out that the Ottawa Senators, the team Dadonov signed a four-year deal with in Oct. of 2020, did not make Dadonov’s no-trade clause known to Vegas before they traded the forward back in July.
So the NHL said that the trade could not go through. If Vegas found a way to move him to another team, which they can do, he is unable to play for that new team since the Trade Deadline has passe.d
