Pittsburgh Hockey Now: There are no easy wins in the NHL and the Devils will always have to take their opponent seriously. Especially one that has Sidney Crosby on their team. But, the Pittsburgh Penguins‘ rebuild has officially begun. Here’s the four basic thing you need to know about their future.
Florida Hockey Now: Was it weird to see Brad Marchand in a Florida Panthers jersey? Honestly, for me? It actually wasn’t. It looked right (again, to me). But, ask a Boston fan how they felt, and it for sure looked strange. And maybe if you’re not me, it still looked strange. However, George Richards explains why, although it looks weird, it feels right.
NYI Hockey Now: Although the New York Islanders have been playing relatively close games of late, their luck has run dry. They’ve lost their fifth straight game, and are watching their playoff hopes die. Perhaps, the Devils have one less opponent to worry about.
Chicago Hockey Now: The Chicago Blackhawks debuted two newly inked first-round picks on Sunday when Oliver Moore and Sam Rinzel made their NHL debuts. However, the Utah Hockey Club spoiled the party at the United Center.
Sportsnet: Trades after the NHL trade deadline are rare, but they’re certainly legal. The Tampa Bay Lightning and Carolina Hurricanes connected on one Sunday, when forward Lucas Mercuri was acquired by the Lightning in a deal with the Hurricanes, sending a 2025 sixth-round pick going back the other way.
