Boston Hockey Now: The Tkachuk brothers talked a lot of smack during the 4 Nations Face-Off, playing their usual role as an agitator. However, it was Boston Bruins captain, Brad Marchand, who had the last laugh, burning Team USA’s MVP’s.
San Jose Hockey Now: Rumors were afoot that San Jose Sharks forward Nikolai Kovalenko didn’t see eye-to-eye with head coach Ryan Warsofsky. The Russian forward commented on the report that was translated out of Russia.
Florida Hockey Now: Following the 4 Nations Face-Off in which he was clearly injured, Matthew Tkachuk is not expected to play for the Florida Panthers on Saturday against visiting Seattle due to a lower-body injury, coach Paul Maurice confirmed Friday.
Chicago Hockey Now: Seth Jones commented on the report that he’s working with the Chicago Blackhawks on finding a trade to another team. The 30-year-old defenseman explained he’s at the point where he wants to compete for a cup before his career is over.
