The New Jersey Devils (23-11-3) return from the holiday’s to face the Carolina Hurricanes (21-12-1) in the first of a home-and-home situation before they head west for a four game road trip that leads them back to Broadway, Manhattan.

The Hurricanes hold three games in hand on the Devils, sitting six points back of New Jersey. The Devils look to cushion their lead in the division with a crucial two points against Rod Brind’Amour and Co.

The Canes have played mediocre hockey of late, with a 5-5-0 record in their last 10 contests. The Devils are looking for their third straight win tonight.
