The fans want the GM fired! Send the goalies to the moon! Trade everyone!

Breathe.

It’s a marathon, not a sprint. Yes, they need help. But, by no means is the season lost. The drought will eventually end.

New Jersey Hockey Now: The Devils’ scoring drought continues. Now through 120 minutes, or six periods, they’ve been held scoreless. To make matters worse, their ex-goaltender shut them out in the second of two shutouts in as many games. Woof.

More NJHN: But, the Devils know they have a scoring issue, seemingly. According to a report, Tom Fitzgerald and management are reportedly discussing Steven Stamkos as a Devils trade target.

Even More: Being linked to Steven Stamkos is tricky. Acquiring the former Stanley Cup Champion brings high-risk, high-reward stakes to New Jersey due to his age and contract. However, is the Nashville version of Stamkos the one the Devils would get?
