The Devils are sputtering right now. They’re a shell of the team that started so strong, winning eight straight games. Yes, they’re injured. But this goes beyond the injuries. As one report revealed, the Devils and Vancouver Canucks have been talking for a while, and even named some players who could go the other way. More on that below.

New Jersey Hockey Now: So, according to a report, the Elliotte Friedman reveal that the Devils and Canucks were in contact about Quinn Hughes wasn’t the first time. Another report explains it’s been since summer, and even revealed a couple of New Jersey names in play.
