Forever Blueshirts: Oh boy, the New York Rangers are holding their breath after a scary moment when Igor Shesterkin sustained a scary injury.
Pittsburgh Hockey Now: Well, that just about does it for Egor Zamula’s Pittsburgh Penguins tenure. After they acquired him in exchange for Philip Tomasino, he never reported to the AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. And thus, his contract has been terminated. More here from Dan Kingerski.
Florida Hockey Now: It was shocking to see Sam Bennett snubbed from Team Canada’s Olympic roster, heading to Milan in about a month. However, the Florida Panthers center took full responsibility for the snub.
Philly Hockey Now: The Philadelphia Flyers have officially extended center Christian Dvorak. The soon 30-year-old converted a successful season thus far into a long-term extension with the Devils rival.
