The Montreal Canadiens are set to host the Philadelphia Flyers at the Bell Centre, with the puck drop scheduled for 7 pm ET.

The Habs are fresh off their first game, and first win of the preseason, a 2-1 shootout victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins. The game started incredibly slowly for all involved, a situation that led to a 1-0 lead for the road team. Martin St-Louis’ team settled down nicely once rookie Jared Davidson fought a much bigger Samuel Poulin, leading to a timely goal for Owen Beck, as well as a great showing from both Jacob Fowler and Oliver Kapanen in the shootout.

Most of the players who sat out Monday’s game will take part in Tuesday’s matchup, including phenom Lane Hutson. He will be paired with stalwart defender Kaiden Guhle on the first pairing. Arber Xhekaj will play alongside Alex Carrier on the second pairing, with David Reinbacher and Tobie Paquette-Bisson forming the third pairing.

As for the forwards, the first line remains unchanged, but we will see Alex Newhook play with Joshua Roy and Zach Bolduc on the second line, one of the most interesting combinations produced by Martin St-Louis. All three players are looking to take the next step in their careers, with Roy attempting to return to the NHL after spending most of the 2024-25 season in the AHL with the Laval Rocket. Finally, the fourth line is expected to provide the energy on Tuesday, with Florian Xhekaj, Luke Tuch, and Tyler Thorpe hitting everything in sight, as per tradition.

We do not know the exact lines that will be run by the Flyers, but they did release their roster ahead of the game, which you can find if you scroll down in the preview.
