Friday, the Carolina Hurricanes welcome the Montreal Canadiens into Lenovo Centre as the Hurricanes look to close out the series following their decisive Game 4 win in enemy territory.

The game is scheduled for 8:00 PM EDT.

For the Hurricanes, Game 4 was their best of the series. Dominant play with continuous pressure kept the Canadiens at bay, allowing just four high-danger chances throughout the game, while putting up 18 of their own. By the time the final horn sounded to conclude the game, the Hurricanes had the same number of shots on goal as the Canadiens had through Games 2, 3, and 4 combined.

Everyone played their role, and played it well. The goalscorers in Sebastian Aho, Jordan Staal, Logan Stankoven, and Andrei Svechnikov all contributed well – but even those who remained off the scoresheet were impactful in their play. You can read all about the game here!

It is anticipated that both Jakub Dobes and Frederik Andersen will be the starting goalies for Friday’s game, given how well they have both played throughout the series. However, it is not certain at this time, given circumstances outside of the game.

Thursday, it was announced that Claude Lemieux – Andersen’s friend, agent, and someone he referred to as family – had passed away. It came just days after he served as the Canadiens’ torchbearer for Game 3. Andersen told Cory Lavalette of the North State Journal Wednesday that Lemieux reached out to him before the game to let him know about his role as torchbearer, to which the Hurricanes goaltender shared his joy that Lemieux had received the honor.

Our prayers are with Lemieux’s family and those who knew him during this difficult time.
