A little more than one week after suffering a gruesome knee injury, Chicago Bears’ tight end Zach Miller took to Twitter to thank everyone who has supported him.

Shortly after the surgery, the Bears put out a message announcing that it had been successful. It’s certainly nice to hear a positive update from Miller himself.

At the time of the injury, there was some concern that Miller could lose his leg. The updates from Miller and the Bears would indicate that that is no longer a concern. Still, we don’t know when or even if Miller will return to the field. Given that he’s 33, and given the severity of the injury, he might never play again.

Even still, it’s good to know that he’s doing okay and seems to be in good spirits. We can only hope that the progress continues in the coming days, weeks, and months.
