As NFL Week 14 draws to a close, a majority of the focus in postgame analysis and talkings points from Sunday’s games focuses on the best performances of the week. However, we also witnessed quite a few ugly performances throughout NFL Week 14, including on Sunday Night Football.

Let’s dive into the worst NFL performances from Week 14.

Woody Marks, RB, Houston Texans

With Nick Chubb sidelined for Week 14, rookie running back Woody Marks was pushed into a featured role on Sunday Night Football. On the positive side, the Houston Texans finally beat the Kansas City Chiefs and Marks scored a pretty critical touchdown when he was left wide open on a dump-off pass after a blitz. Outside of that, Marks turned his 27 touches into 67 scrimmage yards (2.48 yards per touch). Of Marks’ 26 carries, his two longest rushes went for 8 and 7 yards, with 7 carries failing to gain a single yard. On the night, he averaged just a 2.6 yards-per-carry average.

Detroit Lions cornerback Amik Robertson has delivered some big performances for the club in recent years, but there are also disastrous performances mixed in with his results. The latter showed up on Thursday Night Football against the Dallas Cowboys. Dak Prescott absolutely picked on him, with CeeDee Lamb and Ryan Flournoy both torching Detroit’s corner. According to Pro Football Focus, Robertson allowed 112 receiving yards on 8 receptions with 1 touchdown, and Prescott had a 135.4 QB rating on 11 targets when throwing at him. After Week 14, Robertson has allowed the most receiving yards in the NFL (781), and the next-closest cornerback (Michael Jackson) has allowed nearly 200 fewer yards in the same number of games played.

We can’t necessarily fault Brady Cook for having one of the worst NFL performances in Week 14. After all, the UDFA quarterback was suddenly thrust into becoming the New York Jets backup quarterback because of the Justin Fields injury. Then, just a few minutes into Sunday’s game, Jets starting quarterback Tyrod Taylor went down with a groin injury and never returned to the game.

Cook didn’t exactly help his chances of getting more looks in the weeks to come. He finished Week 14 with more incompletions (16) than completed passes (14), posting a 46.7 percent completion rate with 163 net passing yards on 30 attempts, 6 sacks taken, 2 fumbles (1 recovered), and 2 interceptions. Everything about the performance was ugly.

Patrick Mahomes, QB, Kansas City Chiefs

A national audience got to witness the worst performance in Patrick Mahomes’ career. Drops played a factor, but even with that context, Mahomes looked nothing like a two-time NFL MVP and three-time Super Bowl champion. He finished Week 14 with career-lows in completion rate (42.4 percent), passer rating (19.8), and it was just the fourth game in his career with 3 interceptions.
