Adzija checks just about every box.
The Canadian native from St. Thomas, Ontario, currently skates for the Seattle Torrents in the Professional Women’s Hockey League. But her journey to the pro ranks wasn’t without adversity. During her rookie season at her university, Adzija battled through a cancer scare, adding another chapter to a story already defined by resilience and determination.
Off the ice, she made the move to Nashville to support Dike as he chased his NFL dream. On the ice, she’s built a résumé that speaks for itself.
Adzija represented Hockey Canada on the international stage, earning a spot on the nation’s U18 World Championship roster and previously competing in the Summer Series. She also carved out an impressive junior career, finishing near the top of the league scoring race as one of its youngest players and helping Oakville capture a league championship.
The accolades kept piling up from there. Adzija won two gold medals with Team Ontario Red at the Canadian National Women’s U18 Championship, consistently ranking among her team’s top goal scorers. Her excellence extended beyond the rink as well, earning her the prestigious 2022 Mandi Schwartz Student-Athlete of the Year award.
