The fantasy football playoffs have arrived, with Week 15 bringing Round 1 as the real path to a championship begins. While a majority of the focus for fantasy football managers centers on lineup decisions with skill players, it’s the playoffs where a few points can really swing things and that makes kickers more important.
Let’s dive into our Week 15 fantasy kicker rankings, evaluating the best fantasy kickers for the first week of the fantasy football playoffs. Our fantasy K rankings are based on a variety of NFL stats, which we’ve included in the analysis below.
1. Brandon Aubrey, Dallas Cowboys vs Minnesota Vikings

A repeat of last week’s 24-point performance is certainly unlikely, but Dallas Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey is again the consensus top fantasy option this week. He’s drawing a Sunday Night Football matchup versus the Minnesota Vikings, who have allowed the second-most field goal attempts (35) in the NFL this season. A big reason for that is because Minnesota boasts one of the best red-zone defenses in the league, allowing the third-lowest touchdown rate (46.2 percent) in the red zone. CeeDee Lamb (concussion) is also questionable for Week 15, so Dallas could experience even greater issues in the red zone.

2. Jason Myers, Seattle Seahawks vs Indianapolis Colts

Coming off a 14-point performance in Atlanta, Seattle Seahawks kicker Jason Myers has now put up double-digit points in five consecutive games. From Weeks 3-14, he is averaging 12.5 fantasy points per game. The consistency is excellent, and we’re ranking him as one of the best fantasy kickers this week because, as the weather starts taking an impacting kickers outdoors, Myers will be in Seattle with a very slim chance of rain on Sunday afternoon. Plus, Colts’ opponents are averaging 2.4 field-goals made per game over the last five contests. It’s going to be another performance with double-digit points for Myers.
3. Ka’imi Fairbairn, Houston Texans

A great offense helps produce some of the best fantasy kickers each season, but there’s just as much appeal in a league-average offense with a favorable matchup. That’s demonstrated by the recent success of Ka’imi Fairbairn, who is 16-for-17 on field goal attempts over the last five games with 8 extra points made. The Houston Texans’ opponent, the Arizona Cardinals, are tied for the seventh-most field-goal attempts allowed (27). Houston should be able to move the football with relative effectiveness against Arizona, but its offensive line will likely result in the Texans having to settle for field goals more so than finding the end zone.

4. Eddy Pineiro, San Francisco 49ers vs Tennessee Titans

Eddy Pineiro is expected to return from injury following the bye, and he immediately jumps near the top of our Week 15 fantasy kickers rankings. He’s been excellent this season for the San Francisco 49ers, making all 6 of his attempts from 50-plus yards out and going 8-for-8 from 40-49 yards away. The 49ers are facing a team in the Tennessee Titans who have allowed the fifth-most points per drive (2.42) but just the 11th-most trips to the red zone. San Francisco should be able to move the football with relative ease on offense, but it is weak along the interior offensive line, and that’s something Tennessee could take advantage of with T’Vondre Sweat and Jeffery Simmons.
5. Chase McLaughlin, Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Atlanta Falcons

We’ll first start with the NFL stats that have made Chase McLaughlin one of the best fantasy kickers this season. From Weeks 8 through 14, McLaughlin has gone a perfect 10-for-10 on field goals, averaging 1.7 field-goals made per game, with 11 extra points made (1.8 per game). In short, he’s accurate. McLaughlin also has a nice matchup on Thursday Night Football, as the Atlanta Falcons have allowed opponents to attempt 15 field goals (3 per game) over the last five weeks with 11 extra-point attempts. Given the Buccaneers offense ranks 26th in red-zone touchdown rate (50 percent) this season, McLaughlin can put up double-digit points.

6. Evan McPherson, Cincinnati Bengals vs Baltimore Ravens

Don’t count on Evan McPherson repeating his performance from Thanksgiving Day, when he made 6 field goals against the Baltimore Ravens. It is worth noting, though, that McPherson has been one of the best fantasy kickers over the last month-plus by going 12-for-13 on field goals with 12 extra points made in the last five games. The Bengals offense did spend a lot of time in the red zone on Thanksgiving against Baltimore, thanks to turnovers from Lamar Jackson, but they went just 1-for-6 inside the red zone. More realistically, McPherson can deliver 2-3 field goal attempts and potentially match that in extra-point attempts, offering fantasy managers a nice path to double-digit points.
7. Cameron Dicker, Los Angeles Chargers vs Kansas City Chiefs

Cameron Dicker has been a steady source of fantasy points this season, but there’s a bit of concern here given the Week 15 matchup. The Kansas City Chiefs defensive line just dominated Houston’s offensive line, and very aggressive decisions to go for it on fourth down put Houston in scoring range twice. Ka’imi Fairbairn still delivered just 8 fantasy points (2 FGM and 2 XPM). The Chargers offensive line is even worse. Dicker has a lot of upside in Sunday’s matchup, but there’s also a risk he only delivers single-digit points.
8. Cam Little, Jacksonville Jaguars vs New York Jets

The Jacksonville Jaguars are hot once again, and kicker Cam Little is one of the unheralded bright spots. In his last six games, Little has gone 4-for-4 from 50-plus and 3-for-3 from 40 to 49 yards, all part of his perfect stretch in which he’s made 11 field goals and 19 extra points. He’s outstanding from deep, and the Jaguars’ opponent in Week 15, the New York Jets, has allowed the third-most field goal attempts (31) this season.
9. Brandon McManus, Green Bay Packers vs Denver Broncos

Revenge games can be a thing for kickers, too. Brandon McManus spent nine seasons with the Denver Broncos, making 40 kicks from 50-plus yards out. In Week 15, he could prove essential for Matt LaFleur and the Green Bay Packers to beat the Broncos. Denver has allowed the sixth-most field goal attempts (30) this season, in part because they have the best red-zone defense (40 percent touchdown rate) in the NFL. With McManus healthy, making all 14 of his kicks (10 XPA and 4 FGA) in the last three games, his accuracy can be trusted.
10. Riley Patterson, Miami Dolphins vs Pittsburgh Steelers

Riley Patterson and the Miami Dolphins are rolling right now. In the last six games, Patterson has made 14-of-15 field goal attempts and gone 13-for-14 on extra points. He doesn’t get many opportunities from 50-plus yards out, but all that matters is Miami putting him in a position for kicks. Another thing to keep in mind ahead of this Monday Night Football matchup, the Pittsburgh Steelers have allowed the third-most field goal attempts (35) this season and the eighth-most trips to the red zone (48). As long as De’Von Achane (ribs) can play, Patterson should be one of the best fantasy kickers in Week 15.
