Texas had the perfect play call dialed up to burn LSU on fourth-and-goal from the 2-yard line, but Keaontay Ingram dropped the ball, turning it over on downs.

Sam Ehlinger threw a perfect pass. It hit Ingram right in the hands. Then it bounced off. This was such a gimme that Ehlinger’s mom had to be told it was a failed attempt.

In a game that Texas needs desperately to prove it really is back once and for all, this faux pas may loom large.
