Vikings quarterback Sam Bradford on Monday Night Football

Late in the first quarter Monday night as the Chicago Bears hosted the Minnesota Vikings, Sam Bradford spent an eternity in the end zone and paid for it. Chicago utilized a three-man rush as Minnesota’s offense was backed up into its own end zone on third-and-15. Leonard Floyd kept working, and Bradford kept holding onto the ball.

The result was pretty predictable.

The Bears took an early 2-0 lead in this game, which is notable because it’s the first one back for Bradford (knee injury) and because Mitchell Trubisky is getting his first NFL start.
