Vikings’ Kirk Cousins made NFL history in Sunday’s win

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins is on one heck of a run. As embattled as any player at his position in the NFL, Cousins has turned that overrated narrative on its head over the past three games.

The high-priced veteran completed 24-of-34 passes for 337 yards with four touchdowns and zero interceptions in a 42-30 win over the Lions on Sunday.

In the process, he became the first quarterback in NFL history to tally 300-plus passing yards with a 130-plus passer rating in three consecutive games.

No Peyton Manning. No Tom Brady. No Joe Montana. That’s it. Cousins is the list. It’s quite astonishing what he’s done.

  • Week 5: 22-of-27, 306 yards (138.6 rating)
  • Week 6: 22-of-29, 333 yards (138.4 rating)
  • Week 7: 24-of-34, 337 yards (136.5 rating)
