Over the years, Tom Brady has inspired countless namesakes across New England, from babies to family pets. But one Patriots-loving family in Bali took their fandom all the way to the end zone. When Brian and Grace Caffyn welcomed twin boys in April 2015, they named them Thomas and Brady after the legendary QB.
The twins were practically born into Patriots Nation. At just 3 years old, Thomas and Brady got the chance to meet their namesake during the team’s 2018 training camp, creating a wholesome moment that quickly won over fans. Now, years later, the heartwarming clip is making the rounds online once again, giving NFL fans another reason to smile.
Tom Brady’s Sweetest Fan Moment is Going Viral Again

MLFootball resurfaced the wholesome clip on X with the caption: “HEARTWARMING: When legendary #Patriots quarterback Tom Brady spent time introducing himself to twins named Tom and Brady. These kids’ full names are: Thomas Julian and Brady Edelman. Pretty damn amazing”
In the viral throwback, Brady shares a few laughs with the twins, who were named after him and longtime Patriots receiver Julian Edelman. Their parents, Brian and Grace Caffyn, made the nearly 8,000-mile trip from Hong Kong to Foxborough, Massachusetts, just to make the unforgettable meeting happen.
The Patriots had cameras rolling for the special moment, later posting the adorable interaction on the team’s YouTube and X accounts. Brady instantly hit it off with the boys, greeting them with a smile before saying, “What’s up, dude?… But I’m Tom, too! We got the same name… It’s pretty cool, actually.”
The twins’ dad revealed that he and his wife came up with the names while riding the high of the Patriots’ thrilling Super Bowl XLIX win over the Seattle Seahawks in 2015. Their sons arrived just two months later, and living in Hong Kong made the bold tribute feel a little less over the top. Grace also shared that the boys’ middle names—Julian and Edelman—were another nod to Patriots legend Julian Edelman, completing one of the most diehard fan tributes you’ll ever see.
