Tyreek Hill may still be sitting in free agency, but don’t expect the Cheetah to stay off the field for long. The former All-Pro WR hit a rough patch in 2025 after a dislocated knee sidelined him for most of the season, and that injury cloud could be why teams are keeping their playbooks closed late into May.
But Hill isn’t sweating the stalled market. If the NFL door stays shut a little longer, the speedster already seems ready to call an audible into a whole new career. And judging by the tape, he might be just as dangerous there too.
Tyreek Hill Trades Touchdowns for Turntables During Uncertain NFL Future

Tyreek Hill may still be looking for his next NFL snap, but the Cheetah has already been spinning records off the field.
Hill’s unexpected DJ era in Miami is suddenly back in the spotlight as the star receiver continues navigating a messy offseason filled with injury setbacks, legal noise, and uncertainty about his next landing spot. While fans are used to seeing Hill torch secondaries on Sundays, the former All-Pro has been making waves in a completely different booth lately — the DJ booth.
Dov Kleiman posted on X, a video of Hill in the booth and grooving to his mixes. With the caption, “Free agent wide receiver Tyreek Hill has announced that he is now a DJ in Miami.”
During rehab from knee surgery, Hill revealed he had fallen deep into the EDM scene and even started working as a DJ around Miami. At first, it looked like just another offseason side quest. NFL players diving into business ventures, podcasts, or entertainment gigs during recovery is nothing new around the league.
But Hill’s pivot hit differently.
One of the NFL’s fastest playmakers trading cleats for turntables quickly became a talking point among fans. And now, with his football future still hanging in limbo, that side hustle suddenly feels less like a hobby and more like a legit Plan B.
The timing only adds to the intrigue. ESPN insider Adam Schefter recently told Pat McAfee that veteran wide receivers like Tyreek Hill, DeAndre Hopkins, and Deebo Samuel could be forced to play the waiting game before finding the right roster fit.
Hill is still recovering from the torn ACL he suffered on Sept. 29 last season, and with ACL recoveries usually taking 9-12 months, teams may not be rushing to pull the trigger just yet.
So while NFL front offices keep him on hold, Hill seems perfectly comfortable staying on the ones and twos in Miami. And honestly? The Cheetah might already have another crowd roaring before he even takes another NFL snap.
