Last year, the Tennessee Titans rushed to make Cam Ward the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. But they failed to provide him with much help on the offensive line or in terms of weaponry. That could be changing.
On Monday, the Titans made a move that had been slightly anticipated based on their coaching hirings this offseason, especially for fans paying close attention to free agency rumors.
According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, the Titans are signing wide receiver Wan’Dale Robinson to a four-year, $70 million contract that could be worth as much as $78 million.
The move reunites Robinson with Titans offensive coordinator Brian Daboll, who had been Robinson’s head coach on the Giants for four seasons. The 25-year-old is coming off a career year, recording 92 receptions for 1,014 receiving yards and four touchdowns.
The 5-foot-8, 185-pound speedster arrived as the 43rd overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, but he didn’t become a full-time starter until 2025. Now he’ll look to build chemistry with a new quarterback, something Robinson is no stranger to after the Giants started eight different quarterbacks in his four-year career with the team.
Having Daboll in his corner should not only help Robinson get out to a quicker start, as he already knows the offense, but he’ll also be a big asset for his new teammates looking to master the scheme as well. For now, the Titans move forward with Calvin Ridley, Robinson, and Elic Ayomanor, plus the newly signed Daniel Bellinger at tight end (who’s also familiar with coach Daboll from New York).
