The long wait is finally over, and Super Bowl LX will go down this Sunday night. The 60th edition of America’s favorite sporting event will see an interesting Super Bowl XLIX rematch between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks.
Back in 2015, NFL legends like Tom Brady, Marshawn Lynch, Vince Wilfork, and Russell Wilson were the faces of the game. So who are the top stars this time around? We look to answer that question with our rundown of the 10 best players taking the field for Super Bowl LX.
10. Will Campbell, New England Patriots

Many different players had an important role in the Patriots’ stunning turnaround this season. However, one that will be overlooked nationally is first-round pick Will Campbell. The fourth overall selection in 2025 brought badly needed stability at the end of the offensive line. His broad shoulders are what the rest of the unit figuratively stood on to elevate themselves this season and aid in Maye having an MVP-caliber performance.
9. Robert Spillane, New England Patriots

Robert Spillane was one of the key offseason additions the Pats made for Mike Vrabel’s first season as head coach. And the well-traveled eight-year veteran has been everything New England could have hoped for as the leader of a formidable defense.
Spillane is one of the smartest players in the game, is a high-level tackler, and can also make plays against the pass. He isn’t a star nationally, but he is a big reason why the Patriots are playing on Sunday.
8. Leonard Williams, Seattle Seahawks

Leonard Williams has long been a good, reliable pass rusher in the league. However, during his last two years with Seattle, the 11-year veteran has played at an elite level. Earning Pro Bowl honors in 2024 and 2025. You need an impact pass rush to go far in the NFL. The 31-year-old is a huge part of the Seahawks pressure attack and has evolved as a key leader on the NFC champions.
7. Stefon Diggs, New England Patriots

Three years ago, Stefon Diggs was, arguably, the best receiver in the game after a third straight trip to the Pro Bowl. However, off-field drama forced the Buffalo Bills to trade him to the Houston Texans in 2024. He didn’t look like himself in his first eight games before an ACL tear ended his season. Leaving many to wonder if the best version of Diggs was behind him.
However, despite low expectations, the 32-year-old was the bona fide No. 1 receiver Maye needed (1,013 receiving yards), and the Pats offense a big play and catch threat that deserves respect.
6. Ernest Jones IV, Seattle Seahawks

Linebacker Ernest Jones IV had a career year for the Seahawks. While he was always an above-average player during seasons with the Los Angeles Rams and Tennessee Titans, under head coach Mike MacDonald, he became a force on Seattle’s elite defense.
He chases down tackles, is great at stuffing the run, and has a knack for pulling in INT’s (5 this season). The Seahawks leading tackler (126) is sure to influence Sunday’s game.
5. Sam Darnold, Seattle Seahawks

Sam Darnold has gotten a lot of attention before Sunday’s game for the unique story that led him to this point. He went from a draft bust with the New York Jets to a backup QB who had a sudden resurgence with the Minnesota Vikings in 2024. Yet, that Pro Bowl year didn’t quiet his doubters, and with the Seahawks this season, he proved that he really is a top QB in the game. It just took him longer to get there.
While he didn’t post the same numbers as last season, he was an outstanding leader for Seattle’s offense and formed a terrifying duo with young star Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Don’t be surprised if the eight-year veteran surprises again on the biggest stage of his life.
4. Christian Gonzalez, New England Patriots

In today’s NFL, along with a good pass rush, high-impact players in the secondary are important if a team wants to reach the Super Bowl. The Patriots have that in young star Christian Gonzalez. The former first-round pick has continued to grow over his first three seasons, and 2025 was the year when he stamped his place as one of the best cornerbacks in the game.
He will play a huge role in trying to slow down Smith-Njigba on Super Sunday.
3. Devon Witherspoon, Seattle Seahawks

Seahawks veteran Devon Witherspoon has been one of the best cornerbacks in the league since day one. The fifth overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft has been a Pro Bowl in every season of his three-year career, and this past season was another elite showcase for him. Seattle’s defense evolved into one of the very best in the league because it has a shutdown corner in its secondary.
2. Drake Maye, New England Patriots

Despite a rough year for the Patriots during his debut season, there was a belief around the league that it wasn’t Drake Maye’s fault, and he showed a lot of proof for why he was a first-round pick. In his sophomore season, Maye proved that the team has a new franchise QB and delivered an MVP-level performance in 2025.
The young star threw for 4,394 yards and 31 touchdowns to just 8 interceptions. The signal-caller is smart and years ahead of schedule in his development. The Pats don’t get to this point without their 23-year-old leader.
1. Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Seattle Seahawks

Jaxon Smith-Njigba made obvious progress over his first two seasons in the NFL and showed a lot of promise. However, in 2025, he became an elite receiver in the game. The Ohio State alum led the league in receiving yards (1,793) and was fourth in receptions (119). He is an absolute menace and a huge reason why the Seahawks made their surprising run to the Super Bowl.
Expect the Patriots to do all they can to stop or slow down Smith-Njigba, because if they can’t, he will send them hope very unhappy on Sunday night.
