Stefon Diggs hit NFL free agency before his off-field issues were settled this offseason, resulting in quiet months with minimal interest. Now that he has been acquitted, it should not be long before he finds a new home.

Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated addressed Diggs’ situation this past week, naming the Washington Commanders, Los Angeles Rams, Kansas City Chiefs and Atlanta Falcons as potential landing spots.

The Commanders and Chiefs are known to be in the market for pass-catching help. While Washington is hopeful that both Terry McLaurin and Luke McCaffrey will stay healthy in 2026, its only significant addition to the receiving room was third-round pick Antonio Williams.

As for Kansas City, it’s looking for more depth behind Rashee Rice, Xavier Worthy and Tyquan Thornton. Given Thornton was only used as a deep threat this past year and Worthy hasn’t lived up to the expectations of being a first-round pick, Diggs might have a shot of being the No. 2 receiver in Kansas City next season.

Whichever team signs him, Breer believes it will likely be a one-year contract in the range of $10 million for the upcoming season. While the cap hit on a one-year deal would be lower than $10 million, that ballpark figure would make Diggs roughly the 38th-highest-paid receiver in the NFL.

The most bizarre fit among the aforementioned teams would seem to be the Rams. Los Angeles already has two established wide receivers in Puka Nacua and Davante Adams, who drew 46.9 percent of Matthew Stafford’s pass attempts in 2025. The Rams might not be able to offer Diggs the role he is seeking.

Diggs might ultimately wait until closer to NFL training camp to sign, but his production this past year demonstrated that he is still a starting-caliber player. We predict he signs with either the Chiefs or Commanders.
