Former Carolina Panthers and XFL star running back Rod Smart, better known during his XFL days as “He Hate Me,” has been found by police and deemed “safe.”

Scott Fowler of the Charlotte Observer shared the good news Tuesday evening.

Police in South Carolina had previously been looking for Smart, who was deemed “a missing endangered person” after going missing for nearly a week: “Family and deputies have concerns about his well-being and safety,” said Doug Barfield, spokesman for Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office.

Thankfully he’s now in good hands.

Smart, 42, played five years in the NFL for the Panthers and was a fan favorite during his XFL playing days.
