Teddy Bridgewater will be one of the biggest bargains among NFL free agents

Despite being 9-2, a mini quarterback controversy continues to brew for the Minnesota Vikings. Sam Bradford is done for the year, Case Keenum has been fine in his stead, and Teddy Bridgewater is finally back healthy. According to a report, the quarterback controversy isn’t going away any time soon.

“When it comes to their 2017 starting quarterback, the Vikings are taking it one week at a time. When it comes to their 2018 starting quarterback, the Vikings aren’t taking it, at all,” per Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk. “Per a source with knowledge of the situation, the team intends to wait to decide on their 2018 quarterback after the 2017 season fully plays itself out.”

Free agency could go a long way in determining who stays. As Florio noted, Bradford, Keenum and Bridgewater are all pending free agents.

Keenum has been under center for the majority of Minnesota’s 2017 season. He’s completed better than 66 percent of his passes for 2,476 yards with 14 touchdowns, five interceptions, a 96.2 passer rating, and an 8-2 record.
