The Baltimore Ravens are one step closer to getting Danny Woodhead back. The running back, who was placed on IR after Week 1, has returned to practice.

Woodhead is still ineligible to return to action for Week 9’s game against the Tennessee Titans. But following a Week 10 bye, he can return for Week 11’s game on the road against the Green Bay Packers.
Woodhead has dealt with many injuries in recent years. In 2015, he played all 16 games for the then San Diego Chargers. But that was sandwiched around a three-game campaign in 2014, and a two-game season in 2016. After getting injured in his Ravens’ debut, we can only assume that Woodhead is chomping at the bit to return to the field.
Certainly, Baltimore, which has struggled to generate any consistent offense in 2017, can use all of the help that it can get.
