The Philadelphia Eagles kicked off the 2025 NFL season confident in their chances to repeat as Super Bowl champions. While the Eagles still won 11 games during the regular season, their playoff run ended much earlier with a loss in the Wild Card round.

Eagles general manager Howie Roseman has been busy contemplating changes ever since, and Philadelphia has made a lot of moves. Yet, one of the biggest talking points that has yet to reach a conclusion is all the A.J. Brown trade rumors.

The three-time Pro Bowl wide receiver has been the subject of trade discussions for a couple of years now. Are the rumors coming from Philadelphia, or from Brown’s camp?

Yet, ESPN’s NFL insider Adam Schefter believes it’s Brown who wants a trade from Philadelphia. In other words, the Eagles aren’t as motivated to deal as Brown is.

“I still would lean towards an A.J. Brown trade, because I think that’s what he would prefer, but the Eagles are not going to be in the market to just give him away,” Schefter said. “There has to be a team out there that’s willing to go make it happen, and right now, that has not been the case.”

Brown has been previously linked in trades to the Patriots and Rams. The Broncos were another team rumored to be monitoring Brown’s situation, but that’s likely no longer the case after trading a first-round pick and change for Jaylen Waddle. Thus, the Eagles’ trade suitors for Brown seem to be shrinking by the week, but that doesn’t mean his feelings about wanting out have changed.
