The Philadelphia Eagles need a new offensive coordinator after demoting last year’s playcaller, Kevin Patullo, to another yet-to-be announced role. For Nick Sirianni, hunting for a new offensive playcaller is nothing new.

Last offseason, Sirianni had to replace Kellen Moore after he landed the job as the New Orleans Saints’ head coach. This time, it’s because the offense wasn’t consistent or effective enough.

The Eagles have registered interest in many potential candidates, but they’ve had a hard time finding the right fit. On Tuesday, they continued that search.

According to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network, the Eagles are now set up for an in-person interview with Green Bay Packers quarterbacks coach Sean Mannion. The former NFL QB has already interviewed virtually for the job once, but now the team brass wants to meet with him face-to-face to find out if he’s the right fit for Philadelphia.

Mannion, 33, was a third-round pick by the then St. Louis Rams in the 2015 NFL Draft. He made three starts in his NFL career, which ended after the 2023 season. Mannion spent time with the Rams, Minnesota Vikings, and the Seattle Seahawks’ practice squad.

A year after his playing career wrapped up, Mannion took a job as an offensive assistant on Matt LaFleur’s staff with the Packers. In 2025, he was promoted to QB coach. That is the extent of his coaching experience, yet he could be in line for a gigantic step up as the Eagles’ offensive coordinator/playcaller.
