Last year, when the Kansas City Chiefs were trying to become the first team to threepeat as Super Bowl champions, it was the Philadelphia Eagles who ruined their dreams. This year, the Eagles sought a chance to become the next team trying to repeat as Super Bowl champions, but the offense and defense fell short of expectations.

The Eagles’ scoring offense, in particular, took a significant step back. They went from ranking seventh in points per game under Kellen Moore to just 19th with first-year offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo.

On Tuesday, Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni revealed that he’s relieved Patullo of his offensive coordinator duties. Though Patullo won’t be coordinating the Eagles’ offense in 2026, NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reports that there’s a chance Patullo gets reassigned to a different role on coach Sirianni’s staff.

Patullo previously served as the Eagles’ pass game coordinator in 2022 before adding the title of associate head coach in 2023 through 2024. Once Moore took the New Orleans Saints’ head coaching job, Patullo was promoted to offensive coordinator for the first time in his coaching career.

Meanwhile, several candidates will surely have an interest in helping fix a Philadelphia offense led by Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley, A.J. Brown, and DeVonta Smith. They may even be able to recruit someone like Kevin Stefanski, Mike McDaniel, or Barkley’s old head coach, Brian Daboll.
