We’re more than a quarter of the way through the season, and while the usual suspects are struggling — hello New York Giants and Jets — there are teams who have surprisingly floundered, like the Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals. As teams look to acquire assets for the future while others build to contend for the Super Bowl, here are the top 11 trade candidates ahead of the Nov. 4 deadline.

Russell Wilson

The Russell Wilson era with the Giants ended after three games, so there’s really no reason to keep the veteran quarterback around. Wilson can still help other teams that need a reliable backup or spot starter, and all teams would have to do is give up a Day 3 pick for him. The Giants should be shopping him to every QB-needy team prior to the Nov. 4 trade deadline.

Trey Hendrickson

The biggest defensive name on the list is Bengals edge rusher Trey Hendrickson, who was in a contract dispute with the franchise for several months this offseason before agreeing to a revised one-year, $30 million deal. The eight-year veteran has emerged as one of the best pass rushers in the league over the last several years, with back-to-back 17.5-sack seasons, four straight Pro Bowl appearances and a first-team All-Pro nod in 2024. With the Bengals floundering at 2-3 and Joe Burrow out until at least December, the season is circling the drain. Hendrickson is an impending unrestricted free agent, and it would behoove Cincinnati to acquire draft assets ahead of the deadline.

Alvin Kamara

The New Orleans Saints are going nowhere fast at 1-4 and as they attempt another rebuild. Running back Alvin Kamara could help them acquire assets to accelerate the process. Kamara has 283 rushing yards on 73 carries and a touchdown. He signed a two-year, $24.5 million extension in October 2024 that keeps him under contract through 2026. Kamara is owed a base salary of $11.5 million next year.

Jakobi Meyers

It’s been a brutal start to the season for the 1-4 Las Vegas Raiders as the year appears already lost. Teams will surely inquire about wide receiver Jakobi Meyers, who requested a trade during the offseason after failing to agree to a new deal. Meyers, who is a free agent after the season, has 25 catches for 290 yards and no touchdowns in five games.

Cameron Jordan

With future Hall of Famer Cameron Jordan nearing the end of his career, the Saints can do right by him by sending him to a Super Bowl contender so he can win his first championship. Jordan has 2.5 sacks this season to go along with four tackles for loss and five quarterback hits. The three-time All-Pro and eight-time Pro Bowler ranks 65th out of 165 edge rushers by Pro Football Focus and seventh overall with a superb 80.3 run defense grade. He’s playing on a one-year, $6.05 million contract.

Breece Hall

Once again, the Jets are going nowhere after overhauling their front office and coaching staff. They’re 0-5 to start the year and should be looking ahead to 2026. They have a young running back in Breece Hall who could help them replenish their chest with draft assets. Hall, who is in the last year of his rookie deal, has 66 carries for 351 yards and no scores this season.

Jaelan Phillips

With the Miami Dolphins having just one win through five weeks, they could be looking to sell sooner rather than later. If they do, edge rusher Jaelan Phillips, who is in the fifth year of his rookie deal, should be put on the trading block. Phillips, the 18th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, was limited to four games in 2024 after tearing his ACL and played just eight games in 2023 before suffering a season-ending Achilles tear. But when he’s healthy, he’s been productive, recording 24 sacks in 51 games.

David Njoku

The Cleveland Browns are 1-4 and already on their second starting quarterback of the season. With another year going nowhere, the Browns can look to unload players like tight end David Njoku. The former Pro Bowler has 20 receptions for 195 yards and a touchdown in five games. He is a free agent after the season.

Bradley Chubb

Another Dolphin who could be on the trade block is edge rusher Bradley Chubb, who missed all of 2024 with a torn ACL. Chubb has four sacks this season and 43.5 overall in seven seasons, including two years of double-digit sacks. He signed a five-year, $110 million extension in the middle of the 2022 season after the Dolphins acquired him from the Denver Broncos. Through five weeks, Pro Football Focus ranks Chubb 141st out of 169 edge rushers with a pass rush grade of 53.8.

Jaylen Waddle

One of the biggest trade assets the Dolphins possess is wide receiver Jaylen Waddle. The sixth overall pick of the 2021 NFL Draft signed a three-year, $84.75 million extension in May 2024, keeping him under contract through 2028. With the coaching staff and front office’s future up in the air, trading Waddle makes sense to accrue assets. In five games, he has 23 receptions for 295 yards and three touchdowns.

Mark Andrews

The Baltimore Ravens are a disappointing 1-4 and currently without quarterback Lamar Jackson due to a hamstring injury. With Baltimore’s season in doubt, it might be time to rethink things in Charm City. If they do, trading veteran Mark Andrews would be a good start. Several suitors would be interested in the three-time Pro Bowler, who would be a free agent at season’s end. He has 17 catches for 150 yards and two touchdowns this season.
