Week 16 of the 2025 NFL season delivers both the second round of the fantasy football playoffs and games on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. With clubs fighting for playoff spots and a grueling regular season drawing to a close, there are several prominent NFL starters who are injured right now and uncertain to play. Fortunately, the latest NFL injury news sheds some light on where things stand for each player.
Let’s dive into the latest NFL injury report for Week 16, with updates on star players for Saturday night’s game and Sunday’s main slate. At the end, we have a slide on the players who have definitively been ruled out or active for Week 16.
D’Andre Swift, Chicago Bears (Groin) – Will Play

Coming off a 98-yard, two-touchdown performance at home against Cleveland, Chicago Bears running back D’Andre Swift popped up on the NFL injury report with a groin injury on Wednesday. He was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday and Thursday, resulting in a questionable tag for Saturday night’s matchup versus the Green Bay Packers. Now, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler is reporting that Swift is expected to play. With the Packers defense missing Evan Williams, Micah Parsons, and Devonte Wyatt, Swift is a high-end RB2.

Josh Jacobs, Green Bay Packers (Knee) – Doubtful

After aggravating a lingering knee injury against the Denver Broncos, Packers running back Josh Jacobs didn’t log a session in practice this week. Green Bay listed him as questionable for Week 16, but beat writer Rob Demovsky shared in a radio appearance on Friday that he considers Jacobs “more doubtful than probable” to suit up against Chicago. Green Bay’s medical staff tends to be conservative with injuries, and the team must consider Jacobs’ health for the remainder of the season. While it’ll be a game-time decision, Jacobs is currently unlikely to play. If he is out, Emanuel Wilson fills in as the starter. Given Wilson’s workload in his last start, which included 125 scrimmage yards on 30 touches, he’ll be a mid-tier RB2 for Week 16.

Tee Higgins, Cincinnati Bengals (Concussion) – Questionable

Tee Higgins, who was sidelined in Week 13 with a concussion, returned the following week but showed concussion-like symptoms and was held out this past week with a second concussion. Early on, it looked like he wouldn’t suit up for Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins. However, the Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver was a full participant in practice on Friday, and he is now trending toward clearing the concussion protocol and suiting up for Week 16. If he’s active, Higgins is a high-end WR2 in fantasy versus Miami.

Drake London, Atlanta Falcons (Knee) – Expected to Play

After missing multiple games with a knee sprain, Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Drake London returned to practice this week. While the team listed him as questionable on the final NFL injury report for Week 16, head coach Raheem Morris said that London is expected to play on Sunday versus the Arizona Cardinals. London is a top-10 wide receiver in what should be a high-scoring game.

Woody Marks, Houston Texans (Ankle) – Questionable

The Houston Texans offense has looked much better as of late, with rookie running back Woody Marks playing a part in that. Unfortunately, he suffered an ankle injury that kept him out of practice on Wednesday and Thursday, followed by a limited participation in Friday’s final practice. He’s listed as questionable on the final injury report, as is fellow running back Nick Chubb.
However, the tale of practice participation might be a better indicator of who suits up. Chubb was a full participant on Thursday and Friday, while Marks only logged the one limited participation. Both draw the questionable tag, but we think only Chubb plays. Facing the Las Vegas Raiders, whoever is the Texans’ starting running back is a low-end RB2 for Week 16.
