NFL free agency is less than a month away, but there’s already a lot of buzz surrounding the offensive weapons poised to be available this offseason. The area generating the most excitement around the league is the crop of wide receivers. From George Pickens and Mike Evans to speedsters like Alec Pierce and Rashid Shaheed, there’s something for every team in need.

Let’s dive into our NFL free agency predictions for where the top six wide receivers will land this offseason.

George Pickens: Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys are obviously going to use the franchise tag on George Pickens, preventing the All-Pro wide receiver from hitting NFL free agency. It’s just a matter of whether or not Jerry Jones will trade his No. 2 receiver or roll out one of the NFL’s best pass-catching tandems one more time. We expect the latter, with Brian Schottenheimer and Dak Prescott pushing for the 6-foot-3 wideout to be kept around. The impact of two elite offensive weapons for a passing game is worth more than a second-round pick, especially since Dallas still boasts the draft capital and cap space to make the necessary improvements defensively without moving Pickens and leaving a hole in the receiving corps.

Rashid Shaheed: Las Vegas Raiders

The Seattle Seahawks would love to re-sign Rashid Shaheed, and there’s a possibility of it happening. However, the club needs to prioritize re-signing Kenneth Walker III, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba is headed for a contract extension worth 40 million plus. We think that will limit Seattle’s ability to beat the Las Vegas Raiders in a bidding war for Shaheed. This signing would be a reunion with play-caller Klint Kubiak, whom Shaheed also played for with the New Orleans Saints in 2024. Shaheed can be an All-Pro returner for Las Vegas, improving the average field position for Fernando Mendoza while also providing the rookie quarterback with a reliable deep threat who gels in Kubiak’s scheme.

Romeo Doubs: Tennessee Titans

The Green Bay Packers will make an effort to re-sign Romeo Doubs. However, two of the top wide receivers in NFL free agency, George Pickens and Alec Pierce, are potentially getting tagged, and that could significantly weaken the market. If that happens, Doubs immediately becomes one of the best options available. The 6-foot-2 wideout averaged nearly 770 receiving yards per season with 18 total touchdowns from 2023–25, showing strong hands with a nice catch radius, and he demonstrated that he’s a willing blocker. While he’s more of a mid-tier 1B wide receiver, he can be a reliable option for quarterback Cam Ward. Plus, entering his age-25 season, a multi-year deal in the neighborhood of 13 million per season would be solid value for the Tennessee Titans.

Wan’Dale Robinson: Washington Commanders

We’re expecting the Washington Commanders to splurge this offseason, using the 2026 NFL Draft to reinforce Dan Quinn’s defense while bringing in immediate contributors to support Jayden Daniels in NFL free agency. Wan’Dale Robinson, coming off a 1,000-yard campaign, is an excellent slot receiver who averaged 7.2 yards per target in 2025 and excels at creating early separation. He’ll complement Terry McLaurin nicely and allow Washington to use that top-10 pick on an edge rusher.

Alec Pierce: New York Jets

We think the Indianapolis Colts will use the transition tag on Alec Pierce, giving them the right to match any offer he receives. The downside is that with George Pickens presumably off the market, Pierce becomes the best pass-catcher available. This creates a bidding war with contract offers that could fall outside of the Colts’ comfort zone, especially amid their pursuit of Trey Hendrickson. Pierce is the type of field-stretcher the New York Jets offense needs, regardless of who is at quarterback. Signing him also better enables the club to use its premium draft capital on overhauling Aaron Glenn’s defense. Pierce could come to New York and exploit single coverage downfield while opponents pay extra attention to Garrett Wilson, potentially with Kyler Murray as the Jets’ starting quarterback.

Mike Evans: Tampa Bay Buccaneers

It’s confirmed at this point that Mike Evans will return for the 2026 NFL season, but retirement is near. Maybe he wants to latch on with a team that gives him a better shot at winning a Super Bowl—a chance to hoist the Lombardi Trophy and then walk off into the sunset. However, he already has a Super Bowl ring, and something just as rare in modern professional sports is getting to spend a Hall of Fame career with one franchise. We just can’t envision Evans leaving Tampa Bay. This is the best fit for him, and maybe if he’s willing to give a bit of a hometown discount to the Buccaneers, they can add enough defensively to return to contention in 2026.
