Last year, New York Giants fans were introduced to rookies Jaxson Dart and running back Cam Skattebo. Now, as both enter their second season, they’ve established themselves as starters, but this time, they’ll be operating under a new head coach. Now that John Harbaugh has arrived, he has different plans for how the offense will be run.

Recently, Dart opened up to fans during the Giants’ town hall about how the team’s new-look offense will operate.

Dart claimed, “It sounds like we’re not going to be throwing the ball a lot. We’re going to keep giving it to Skatt until they can stop it.”

Does Harbaugh really want this mindset getting put out in the media long before the Giants have played their first game? Did Dart reveal these potential plans because the 2025 first-round pick is not all that thrilled about it?

Yet, it’s important to take Dart’s comments with a giant-sized grain of salt, as they came right after Skattebo committed to playing all 17 games this season, rushing for 2,000 yards in the process. Oh yeah, and he reminded fans that “every time I’ve gone to a new team, I’ve won a championship in the second year.”

That’s the exact type of rallying cry commonly heard in a team town hall setting. Harbaugh later added that he feels the Giants have the potential to have the NFL’s best tight end room.

“There’s not a better tight end group, I don’t think, in the league, potentially,” Harbaugh said. “Jaxson has a bunch of guys to go to.”

With Isaiah Likely, Theo Johnson, Chris Manhertz, and Thomas Fidone, the Giants’ tight end room is certainly improved, but are they close to the best? They have a lot to prove.
