A new report reveals what it will take for interested teams to pry Maxx Crosby away from the Las Vegas Raiders in an offseason trade.

Crosby has been one of the few great development stories the Raiders can hang their hat on during a very dark period in the team’s history. After being a fourth-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft by Jon Gruden’s regime, the pass rusher made an immediate impact with a 10-sack rookie season.

Over the next six years, Crosby has grown into one of the franchise’s greatest pass rushers and is currently third on their all-time list. However, over his seven years with the team, Crosby has only been part of one winning season. Their rough recent years and constant head coach switches have certainly worn on the 28-year-old.

Yet, despite constant speculation about being traded, Maxx Crosby has maintained his preference to stay in Las Vegas. But that took a huge turn late in the 2025 season when the Raiders requested he sit out the final two games so they could tank their way to the No. 1 pick. Which they eventually did. But the strategy has reportedly soured his feelings on the team, and a trade now seems very likely.

The Athletic’s Dianna Russini added fuel to that narrative on Saturday when she claimed she is “increasingly skeptical he’ll play” for new Raiders head coach Klint Kubiak next season.

So if Crosby does indeed get traded this offseason, what will the LV Raiders be looking for in return? Russini also had an update on that.

“Crosby remains under contract, but there’s a strong sense in league circles that he could be there for the taking, despite the Raiders likely demanding a high price (think a Micah Parsons-like package),” she wrote. “Las Vegas is not expected to try to make Crosby stay if he truly wants out.”

In the trade that sent Parsons to the Green Bay Packers before this past season, the Dallas Cowboys received a 2026 and 2027 first-round pick, along with defensive tackle Kenny Clark.
