Could Maxx Crosby’s time with the Las Vegas Raiders end this offseason? There has been speculation over the last few years about whether the team would move the five-time Pro Bowler. However, the speculation was renewed last month when FOX NFL insider Jay Glazer reported that the star pass rusher left the team facility in frustration after being asked to sit out the final two games of the season as the organization looks to tank for the No. 1 pick in the draft.

Well, more fuel was added to the trade narrative on Saturday when The Athletic’s Dianna Russini reported that the relationship between Crosby and the Raiders “remains strained” after seeming on good terms a few months back. And that “Many believe Las Vegas will be open to moving its star pass rusher” this offseason.

If Las Vegas seriously considers a trade in the months ahead, let’s look at six potential offseason landing spots for the seven-year veteran.

New York Jets

Through their trade with the Colts and another blockbuster deal with the Dallas Cowboys before the trade deadline, the NY Jets have extra first-round assets that could be used in a trade for Maxx Crosby. With a defensive-minded head coach like Aaron Glenn, he may push to reload the unit so it can be the heart of a team that will likely have a rookie QB in 2026. Gang Green has the trade chips to be a favorite in the Crosby trade market.

Indianapolis Colts

This looked like a season when the Indianapolis Colts had a serious chance of returning to the Super Bowl. The team that rarely makes trade deadline moves even made a blockbuster trade for New York Jets star Sauce Gardner. Then QB Daniel Jones suffered an injury that eventually ended his year, and all those hopes were dashed.

But they should be very good again. Setting the team up to be even stronger before the season is likely, so don’t be surprised if they get bold again and show interest in bringing in a top-shelf pass rusher after being a middle-of-the-road pass rushing team in 2025.

Kansas City Chiefs

Would the Las Vegas Raiders be interested in trading Crosby to a top division rival like the Kansas City Chiefs? Probably not. But they could get an offer they just can’t refuse. The Chiefs are not making the playoffs for the first time since 2014. And that could lead to a strong reaction from management to improve the roster this offseason.

After finishing near the bottom of the league in pass rush this season, KC may be willing to offer up a couple of future first-rounders to bring in an elite pass rusher who is still only 29 and locked into a reasonable deal for the next four seasons. Two future firsts and more premium picks would be an offer the Raiders have to seriously consider.

New England Patriots

The New England Patriots are well ahead of schedule under new head coach Mike Vrabel, and have a real chance to go all the way this season. If they don’t go far in the playoffs, it may likely end up being because they have a bottom-10 pass rush this season. New England has the cap flexibility to add a player like Crosby, and after this season, they will have the motivation to make a blockbuster trade to improve their defense after the season.

Baltimore Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens’ usually good defense was ravaged by injuries this season, and it was a key part of why they are in the bottom five in the league for sacks as we enter the final weeks of the season. Their championship window with Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry may only have one or two more years left. So, going big and adding a game-changer on defense so the unit returns to elite status in 2026 is very possible.

Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills have been in search of an impact player on defense to pressure opposing QBs for some time. It is why they gave Von Miller a six-year deal worth $120 million despite exiting his prime. The Buffalo defense has again been a mediocre group in 2025. If the team falls well short of a Super Bowl appearance again, making a bold trade for an elite talent like Maxx Crosby is a distinct possibility in the offseason.
