One of the richest people on planet Earth is allegedly taking a hard look at putting in a bid to buy defending NFL Champions, the Seattle Seahawks.
According to Front Office Sports, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg is among four absurdly rich individuals who have shown interest in purchasing the Seahawks. The man who founded Facebook is among the five wealthiest people on the planet, with a current net worth of $222 billion. So, the 41-year-old could easily purchase the franchise with no outside help.
Another name FOS reports is pondering a bid for the Seahawks is former Apple CEO Tim Cook. The long-time tech exec has a net worth just under $3 billion. Which means he will need to be part of a consortium to purchase the NFL franchise that is projected to go for as much as $11 billion in a sale.

The Seahawks were officially put up for sale in February. Long-time Seahawks owner and Microsoft cofounder Paul Allen requested that, upon his passing, the team and his other sports assets be sold. Allen, who died in 2018, also owned the NBA’s Portland Trail Blazers and a 25% stake in MLS’s Seattle Sounders.
The Washington Commanders were the last NFL franchise to go up for sale. They were eventually purchased by a group led by Josh Harris for just over $6 billion three years ago.
