Sean McVay and the Los Angeles Rams won a Super Bowl at the end of the 2021 season. They’ve been working tirelessly to return to the pinnacle of the sport ever since. Yet, as the Rams know all too well, finding that type of success isn’t easy.

We’ve seen Los Angeles add a new starting cornerback by trading a first-round pick to the Chiefs for Trent McDuffie. Yet, the Rams haven’t done anything to enhance an offense that ranked first in scoring in 2025. That could change during the 2026 NFL Draft, if not before.

Recently, EssentiallySports’ NFL insider Tony Pauline speculated that the Rams may be one of the teams that circle back to an A.J. Brown trade. Pauline believes that Los Angeles offering the 13th overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft may be enough to get a deal done.

However, Rams fans hoping for a quick resolution may have to hold their breath for a while, as Pauline believes the Eagles are more likely to execute a trade on draft day, much like when they got Brown from Tennessee.

Of course, there’s no guarantee that the Eagles are even willing to trade the three-time Pro Bowl receiver. Yet, there have been a lot of rumors suggesting the 28-year-old may be on the trade block. Yet, we have a hard time imagining the Eagles trading their best receiver without a ready-made replacement in mind, which is why a draft day trade could very well promote better offers, depending on which receivers are available.
