A new rumor adds fuel to the Los Angeles Rams being all-in on winning a championship next season, with a report on a bold trade the front office has recently considered.

The Rams have been one of the best teams in the NFC over the last three seasons and came up just short of returning to the Super Bowl this past season. Their frustrating loss to rivals the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Championship game has motivated the organization to make the improvements necessary to bring the franchise its third title next season.

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver AJ Brown has drawn a lot of trade interest from teams around the NFL in recent weeks. That apparently includes the LA Rams. On Friday, The Athletic’s Dianna Russini reported, “The Rams discussed trading for Brown but have moved on.”

AJ Browns stats (2025): 78 catches, 1,003 yards, 7 touchdowns, 12.9 yards per catch

The news comes just a few days after the LA Rams made a blockbuster trade for Kansas City Chiefs All-Pro cornerback Trent McDuffie. In the deal, the team gave up the No. 29 pick in next month’s NFL Draft, as well as a fifth and sixth-rounder this year, and a 2027 third-round pick.

After that deal, it is unclear what the LA Rams would have offered the Eagles for the three-time Pro Bowler. Chances are, it would not be enough with recent reports suggesting Philly is looking for at least a first and second rounder in a potential deal. That is likely why they “moved on” from the idea.

However, if they could acquire Brown, it would give them the undisputed best receiving corps in the sport with Pro Bowler Puka Nacua and future Hall of Famer Davante Adams.
