The Los Angeles Chargers are entering Year 3 of the Joe Hortiz/Jim Harbaugh combination. They’ve had similar success in their first two seasons, going 11-6 and getting eliminated in the Wild Card Round while losing by more than one possession.
With the Chargers hiring Mike McDaniel as offensive coordinator, we’ve already seen some changes to the coaching staff. Now it’s time to consider some roster upgrades too.
Recently, Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer connected the dots between the Chargers and one of McDaniel’s most productive players in Miami. Specifically, Breer suggested that the Chargers could try to get five-time All-Pro wide receiver Tyreek Hill to join the club, too.
“I honestly can’t wait to see how this one plays out, for everyone involved,” Breer wrote. “Maybe they can even get Tyreek Hill in on all this.”
With the Dolphins changing general managers and head coaches, it’s certainly possible that they’ll look to move on from Hill, who’s set to turn 32 in March and is coming off a torn ACL that limited him to just four games in 2025.
Plus, Hill might want to move on, especially if he feels like the Dolphins could be headed closer to a rebuild. Meanwhile, the Chargers look poised to return to the playoffs, and they could finally take a step further if they can piece the right group together. Hill could very well be a part of that plan.
