When on the field, Dallas Goedert can be an impact player and legitimate threat in the Philadelphia Eagles passing attack. Unfortunately, over much of his seven-year career, the 30-year-old has struggled to stay healthy. It is why there have been rumblings the organization could soon move on from the tight end.
On Friday, Bleacher Report NFL insider Jordan Schultz added to the speculation when he claimed Philly was “open to trade talks involving” their starting tight end. With that in mind, here are five teams that could take a hard look at making a Dallas Goedert trade this offseason.
Seattle Seahawks

Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant posted four more yards than Goedert in 2024. However, he also played in four more games. Fant has gotten a lot of chances to take his game to the next level over his six seasons in the league. It has yet to happen. While the Eagles TE has his troubles staying healthy, he is still a significant upgrade at the spot for Seattle.
- Dallas Goedert stats (2024): 10 games, 496 receiving yards, 2 touchdowns, 11.8 receiving yards
Tennessee Titans

Tennessee Titans starting TE Chig Okonkwo managed just 479 yards this past season. Nearly 20 fewer yards than Goedert and in seven more games. The Titans have one of the weakest tight end situations in the game. The Eagles veteran would be a serious upgrade and would give a rookie QB — probably Cam Ward — a nice veteran weapon to throw to in his first season.
Chicago Bears

The Chicago Bears had a rock-solid offense last season. However, this month they have made big moves to bolster the line in front of young QB Caleb Williams. They have a pair of impact wide receivers, but they got very little from the tight end spot. Dallas Goedert would be another option to diversify Chicago’s offense and make them that much more of a problem in 2025.
New York Giants

The New York Giants have one very good weapon on offense in Malik Nabers. Whoever is their starting QB in 2025 will need all the help he can get. Especially at tight end, where they got next to nothing last year. While trades inside the NFC East are very uncommon, if the G-Men are willing to give up a decent day 3 draft pick, a deal isn’t completely impossible.
- Dallas Goedert contract: Four years, $57 million
Los Angeles Chargers

The Los Angeles Chargers offense should be formidable again next season. But the tight end spot remains a weakness. They could certainly use a player like Goedert in 2025 and have four sixth round picks they could part with a couple of in a potential trade with the Eagles.
