Six NFL teams have hired new head coaches this offseason. Meanwhile, the Las Vegas Raiders are one of four teams that have yet to make up their mind.

It’s not for a lack of trying. The Raiders have interviewed several initial candidates. Some have even been brought back for a second interview, which is typically the precursor to getting the job.

On Monday, the Raiders completed an in-person interview with a coach from one of their division rivals. Specifically, the Raiders just wrapped up their second interview with Davis Webb, the pass game coordinator and quarterbacks coach of the Denver Broncos.

Now that the Broncos have been eliminated from the playoffs, Webb can be hired by any team interested in making him a head coach. The 38-year-old former NFL QB has become a popular candidate as of late, also interviewing for the Buffalo Bills’ head coaching vacancy.

Yet, he has no previous head coaching experience or any time spent as a playcaller. However, after joining the coaching ranks with the Broncos as their QB coach in 2023, Davis added the title of pass game coordinator in 2024.

Now, he may be looking at his first head coaching opportunity, just three seasons after he wrapped up his six-year playing career.
