You didn’t think the Dianna Russini–Mike Vrabel show was over, did you? Nah. Not by a long shot. And it’s almost a certainty that what you’re about to hear and see won’t be the last of it either.
New video footage has emerged showing the New England Patriots head coach and the former NFL insider on a private boat trip in Tennessee in June 2021, when Russini was visibly pregnant with her first child.
TMZ Sports obtained and released the clip, which depicts the pair walking along a dock before boarding a vessel they rented exclusively for two to three hours in Putnam County. Both signed the rental documents, and sources indicated they were the only ones aboard during the outing.
Yikes. Russini’s son, Michael Andrew, was born just two months later.
Double yikes.
There is no indication of any link between the names. In fact, sources have said Russini reportedly chose the name Michael early in her pregnancy to honor her older brother, Michael Russini.
But good God, what must her husband be thinking right now?
At the time, Vrabel was head coach of the Tennessee Titans, while Russini covered the team for ESPN. Boat company employees were reportedly instructed not to share photos of the excursion because “Coach Vrabel wanted to enjoy a private weekend.”
Russini reportedly declined a photo with staff, TMZ reports, while Vrabel posed for one but asked that it not be made public.
The video adds to a growing scandal that erupted after Page Six published photos in April of Vrabel and Russini holding hands and embracing at an adults-only Arizona resort, followed by images appearing to show them kissing in New York in 2020.
The pair’s initial denials keep getting blown out of the water here. Russini claimed the first batch of intimate photos does not “represent the group of six people who were hanging out during the day.” But with nobody else on the boat, it’d be difficult to make that claim again.
Vrabel had described the photos as showing “a completely innocent interaction and any suggestion otherwise is laughable.” But then the pictures of them “pecking” in a bar came out.
What’s next?
Both are married to other people—Vrabel to his wife, Jen, since 1999, and Russini to her husband, Kevin Goldschmidt. Russini resigned from The Athletic amid an internal investigation, while Vrabel addressed the situation vaguely with reporters, saying he aimed to be a “better man.”
He went on a very fake “counseling” session about the incident, which lasted about two to three minutes.
