Still nursing a sprain in his throwing shoulder, Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston was limited in Thursday’s practice. But according to coach Dirk Koetter, Winston will be back in a full role on Friday.
“We made a decision to hold him for another day, but I full expect that Jameis will take all the snaps tomorrow, all the snaps with the ones,’’ Koetter said, per Roy Cummings of Florida Football Insiders. “You can draw your own conclusions.’’
That is encouraging news for the team.
Sunday’s game is going to be tough enough. Tampa is playing on the road against the Buffalo Bills, who are 3-2 and 2-0 at home. Winston being benched, or even playing after a full week of missing practice, would not be a good for the Bucs’ chances. Winston left Week 6’s loss the Arizona Cardinals with the shoulder injury.
