Offensive line has been a big talking point for the Houston Texans in recent years. That was true in 2025 as well. The Texans are trying to make sure no one is as focused on their blocking unit heading into 2026.
We’ve already seen the Texans get a new right tackle by signing Braden Smith. But Texans GM Nick Caserio wasn’t done fixing the trenches.
On Tuesday, the Texans signed three-time Pro Bowl offensive guard Wyatt Teller. According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, the Texans have signed Teller to a two-year contract worth $16 million. Teller can earn up to $23 million on the deal.
Now 31 years old, Teller has predominantly played right guard throughout his eight-year career, starting 101 of his 109 appearances. He also played left guard during his rookie season as a member of the Browns.
In addition to earning a Pro Bowl nod three times, Teller has also twice been named as a second-team All-Pro. Yet, after being limited to 13 games in each of the past two seasons, he hasn’t earned any accolades since 2023. Perhaps that changes by joining a playoff contender in Houston.
For now, the Texans’ revamped offensive line projects to start Aireontae Ersery at left tackle, Teller at left guard, Jake Andrews at center, Ed Ingram at right guard, and Smith at right tackle.
