While the Green Bay Packers retained general manager Brian Gutekunst and head coach Matt LaFleur this offseason, both the coaching staff and front office have been raided in January. It appears Green Bay’s wealth of experience could take another hit in the next few weeks.

Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated believes that Packers offensive coordinator Adam Stenavich could be brought over to the Miami Dolphins by head coach Jeff Hafley. If Miami requested permission to interview Stenavich, even though it would be a lateral move, Breer thinks LaFleur would allow it.

That is largely because, while it would be a lateral move on paper, it would allow Stenavich to be the offensive play-caller for a team and run an offense as he sees fit. There is no path to that happening in Green Bay, so it would be an opportunity that is likely too good to pass up for Stenavich if it is offered.

That might not be the only member of the Packers coaching staff whom Hafley brings with him to Miami. Breer named Green Bay linebackers coach Sean Duggan as a potential top candidate to become the Dolphins defensive coordinator. While Duggan might not necessarily be the play-caller, it would still be a promotion for him and a huge step forward in his career.

It would leave LaFleur in a position where he must find two new coordinators for his staff and also replace multiple assistants. Given Green Bay history, it is reasonable to assume that at least one of the coordinators would be an internal promotion.

If that comes at offensive coordinator, quarterbacks coach Sean Mannion and senior assistant Luke Getsy could be two names to watch. As he has done with the Packers coaching search for a defensive coordinator, though, LaFleur would certainly interview external candidates who were willing to take a promotion without receiving play-calling duties for the Packers offense.
