After trading for Micah Parsons, it became clear that the Green Bay Packers were all-in on their current roster build. With a few more changes, they just might be able to compete for a Super Bowl.

The Packers will work on the roster this coming offseason. One area the Packers are expected to once again focus on is their receiving corps. Last year, they selected Matthew Golden with the 23rd overall pick in the first round. This offseason, they may say goodbye to one of their most productive playmakers.

According to The Athletic‘s Matt Schneidman, the Packers are fully expected to move on from receiver Romeo Doubs in free agency. It’s a notable decision, as Doubs led the team with 724 receiving yards in 2025.

“I’m not putting him (Golden) above Christian Watson or Jayden Reed just yet, but I wouldn’t hesitate to use him over Dontayvion Wicks, and Romeo Doubs is as good as gone in free agency.”

With so many young receivers still developing in Green Bay, it shouldn’t come as a major surprise that the Packers are ready to move on from Doubs after four seasons either.

Thus, Doubs, 25, will enter free agency with 2,424 receiving yards and 21 touchdowns across four seasons, an average of 606 yards per season. That’s more than respectable for a former fourth-round selection that will likely now find a bigger payday elsewhere.
