The (3-13) New York Giants and (7-8-1) Dallas Cowboys will meet for the 128th time this Sunday at MetLife Stadium in the 2025 season finale.
Both teams had high hopes coming into this season that they would be in the playoff picture entering Week 18. But they feel woefully short of expectations and will have difficult decisions to make this offseason.
Dallas has dominated this rivalry over the last several years, having won the last nine meetings, and quarterback Dak Prescott has not lost to Big Blue since his rookie season in 2016. But Giants rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart is excited to change the momentum of this rivalry.
“I mean, this is a huge division game. That obviously matters to me a ton, and I’m excited to go out there and compete against them for sure.”
With the Cowboys looking to sweep the season series for the fifth consecutive season, and the Giants looking to prevent it, Sunday should be an entertaining contest. Here are four predictions for the game.
Jaxson Dart will throw for over 400 yards

Jaxson Dart has had an impressive rookie season with 22 total touchdowns to just five interceptions. He’s had five games where he’s thrown at least one touchdown and rushed for another.
One of the few individual feats he’s yet to accomplish is to throw for 300 yards. The rookie quarterback has an excellent chance of accomplishing this on Sunday as he’ll go up against the Cowboys’ 32nd-ranked pass defense. In the Week 2 matchup between these two teams, Russell Wilson threw for 450 yards. In his first career start against Dallas, Dart will not only throw for 300 yards, but he’ll throw for over 400 yards.
CeeDee Lamb will have 150 receiving yards and 2 TDs

Despite missing three games this season due to injury, CeeDee Lamb has gone over 1,000 receiving yards for the fifth consecutive season. He also has 74 receptions and is averaging a career-high 14.5 yards per reception.
But he’s only found the end zone three times this year.
In the previous meeting against New York, he had nine receptions for 112 yards, but was kept out of the end zone. The Giants might be without corner Cor’Dale Flott, who did not participate in Wednesday or Thursday’s practice due to a knee injury. Even if Flott plays, Lamb will once again have his way with the secondary and have 150 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Brian Burns will have 3.5 sacks

Brian Burns has had the best season of his seven-year career as he has a career high 16.5 sacks, which is second in the NFL behind Myles Garrett. He was able to sack Dak Prescott once in their first meeting and is poised for a bigger game on Sunday.
The Cowboys’ offensive line gave up six sacks last week against the Commanders, and now they face Burns and the rest of New York’s front seven, who are eager to end their losing streak to Dallas. Burns will have his best game of the year as he’ll have a season-high three and a half sacks and finish the year with 20 sacks.
KaVontae Turpin will have a kick return for TD

KaVontae Turpin is one of the fastest and most elusive kick returners in the league. His 1,599 kick return yards lead the NFL, but he has yet to have a kickoff return for a touchdown.
The Giants’ special teams unit has been shaky for much of the season, as they’ve allowed two punt returns for a touchdown in 2025. They’ve yet to allow a kick return for a touchdown, but that will all change as Turpin will get his first kick return for a touchdown this season.
