The Chargers traded up in order to secure Melvin, who posted a ridiculous 2,587 rushing yards and 29 touchdowns in his final year at Wisconsin.

However, after some preseason struggles, the coaching staff for the Chargers claim the team will use a running back committee this season. Likely, Gordon will see most early-down work with Danny Woodhead lined up on third down to catch passes.

2015 Projection: 214 attempts, 924 rushing yards, 110 receiving yards, seven total touchdowns
